MorgCalc ("we," "us," or "our") operates morgcalc.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using MorgCalc you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Usage data. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized data about page views, session duration, and general geographic region. No personally identifiable information is attached to analytics data.
  • Calculator inputs. Numbers you enter into the calculator (home price, down payment, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser. We do not store or transmit your calculator inputs to our servers.
  • Email address (optional). If you subscribe to our weekly rate alert, we collect your email address to send you rate change notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Cookies. We use cookies for analytics and to remember preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

How we use your information

  • To provide and improve the MorgCalc service
  • To send rate alert emails (only if you opted in)
  • To understand how visitors use the site via aggregated analytics
  • To comply with legal obligations

Third-party services

MorgCalc uses the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:
  • Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymized usage analytics
  • Resend — email delivery for rate alerts
  • Netlify — website hosting and functions
  • Credible — partner lender referrals (affiliate)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Affiliate disclosure

MorgCalc participates in affiliate programs. When you click "Get pre-approved" or "Compare lenders," we may receive a commission from the referred lender at no cost to you. This does not influence our calculator results or editorial content.

Data retention

Email addresses collected for rate alerts are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics default retention settings (14 months). We do not retain calculator input data.

Your rights

You may request deletion of your email from our rate alert list at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any alert email or by contacting us directly. For California residents, CCPA rights apply including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale (we do not sell data).

Children's privacy

MorgCalc is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of MorgCalc after changes constitutes acceptance.
